Check whether the Anti-Virus works or not in Computer

Nowadays there is no one without using computers. Those who are using computers have a problem, that is virus attack.

To protect our computer from viruses we should install Antivirus. We people doesn't know how much this Antivirus protect our computer from viruses. Sometimes Antivirus will not work or it can’t identify the new viruses. If there is a situation like this, the viruses will attack your important data.

So let us check whether your computer’s antivirus works properly or not.

How to check whether the Antivirus works or doesn't work?

Open a Notepad and copy the following code.

Save it as fake-virus.exe

If your Antivirus works properly, the file you saved will be identified as virus and it will be deleted by your Antivirus. If your antivirus doesn't work properly, the file you saved will not be identified as virus.

Therefore, if your file get deleted you can know that your antivirus works without any trouble.

Protect your Passwords in Cyber cafes

Although internet has reached every place, still there are people who access internet in Cyber cafes. Some people regularly go to Cyber cafes to access internet, while others access only in certain time when they are in an urgent need.

Most of the Cyber cafes use several methods to steal your passwords. My suggestion for writing this article is by my bad experience at a Cyber cafe.

Two days ago, when I had an urgent need to check my mail at Cyber cafe. I logged into my account through Mozilla Firefox. When I logged in, a pop out window appeared with a message “save the password”, “not now”, “never for this site” and I selected “not now”, because I already know that the passwords can be viewed in Firefox which I have shown you in

"Protect your Passwords in Firefox" article.

After checking my mails, I logout and fortunately I checked the saved passwords in Firefox.
I was shocked!!!

Because even my Email username and password was saved. Even though I selected not to save my password earlier, my password had been saved by some sort of trick in that Cyber cafe.

To protect your passwords while accessing internet in Cyber cafes, do the following tricks.

Trick 01

Use “Onscreen Keyboard” to type your Username and Password but sometimes virus or key logger may have disable “Onscreen Keyboard”. In this case, you have to use the below trick.

Trick 02

This trick is to confuse key logger.
Suppose if you want to login “Gmail” with the following Username and Password.

Username - fazlul001

Password – Pa$$w0rd

Now just open “Notepad” and enter your password with some random characters in between as shown below.

And now just copy the appropriate characters (password) into login box using “mouse” and login to your account.

This trick will definitely cheat the key logger installed in PCs at Cyber cafes.

Some other tips to be safe at cyber cafes.

Whenever you access internet in any other PC, make sure that the PC is up to date with latest Antivirus and Anti spyware programs to avoid Trojans. 

Delete the “History” in the web browser. 

Make sure that you are properly logout.

Google+ is a social network operated by Google Inc. Google+ compete itself with other social networks especially Facebook and provide the best service in a row to attract and keep users coming over... One of the column in it is "Google Translate".

First you have to install “Google Translate for Google+”in Chrome.

Schedule your own time, and send mails in Gmail

Gmail is a free Email service provided by Google. It provides it's users with great features.
Most of it's users don’t know that Gmail can automatically send E-mail. This feature makes you to send emails at the appropriate time by scheduling the sending time. If there are any emails to be sent later or on the next day, it can be simply composed and be scheduled, so it will automatically reach the other person on time that you have scheduled.

 

To bring this feature in Gmail

As always, press the Compose button to create your mail and then give details of the sender to the Send button, you will see that it is added a new page namely “Send later”.

Now click on the “Send later” button.

Set the time at the schedule button at the bottom right, so the mail will be sent at the appropriate time.

Play YouTube Snake Game

YouTube is a video-sharing website, which most of us visit to watch videos. We all get bored and irritated if the video takes more time to stream or load due to slow internet connection or some other problems.

While the video is streaming, hold left button of mouse + Left arrow on keyboard + Top arrow on keyboard.

Now you can control the movements of the snake using the arrow keys of your keyboard as playing in your PC or mobile phone.

Clean your RAM without any software

RAM decides the speed of your computer, there are many software available in internet to keep your RAM free, but how much of these software supports to keep your RAM Free?
And now I am going to show you something very easy to keep your RAM free. It’s all few lines of code which can be used with notepad.

You can do this simple trick by following the steps below.

Open Notepad.

Type FreeMem=Space(64000000)

Save it as “CLEANER.VBS” in any location you like.

You can edit the code 64000000 into 512 if you own a 512 MB RAM or change into any size of RAM of your PC (Convert your RAM value to bytes).

And now run it.

Google+ Video Chatting

Due to heavy competition among social networks plus to establish itself to a higher place, Google+ has introduced a new feature called Hangout to make video calls. 
Using this feature, you can’t chat directly with your friends. However, you can engage in chatting with only 12 unknown people worldwide.

Simple Trick to Access blocked site (Facebook, YouTube, etc...)

Most of the work places, institute, college, university etc... block certain sites, usually they block the access to social networking  and entertainment sites. There are many tricks to overcome this issue, but I am going to show you a simple trick to enjoy certain blocked sites (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and YouTube) from your institute or work place.

How to do it?

System administrators block only http://, but not https:// , so you can simply add the letter “s” after http and access into that particular site.

For example:

Change http://youtube.com/ into https://youtube.com/ , so you can try in any place where your blocked site lets you enter through the secure protocol.
